Government Sales Representative/Contracts Administrator

Responsibilities:
- Government Sales Representative is the bridge between the capital equipment builders we represent, sales team and agents across the country, and our prospects and clients. You will be responsible for developing and generating a quality sales pipeline for the team.
- Research and pre-qualify potential new prospects.
- Research all solicitation bid websites for opportunities.
- Follow up on Warm Leads generated by the marketing team.
- Identify key decision makers and update database list of contacts.
- Reaching out via phone and email, quickly and confidently establishing rapport
- Listening and uncovering potential opportunities for our products to provide value to our customers.
- Fill out bids and solicitations for Government, State, Local. and Federal and colleges and universities and work with inside sales to expedite orders received while maintaining dialogue with builders, inside sales team, applications, distribution network and client. While maintaining compliance and abiding with FAR regulations, NIST, and CMMC regulations.
- Provide accurate quotes / bid proposals to prospects and follow up on requests and projects. You will be the general contractor/ expeditor on equipment sales, shipping, freight, installation, contract paperwork and management, billing and invoicing as well as negotiating final contract pricing.
- Schedule freight and rigging as required all facets of machine delivery from beginning to end.
- Effective communications and negotiation skills — clear, thoughtful, genuine, persuasive, documentation is a must.
- Engaging phone presence
- Supervise team for adherence with existing government practices
- Maintain existing process documentation and update as necessary
- Train new team members and identify opportunities for continuing education for existing team members
- Monitor order volume and complexity to ensure appropriate distribution of workload
- Interface with Accounting and maintain basic knowledge of accounting concepts such as A/R, A/P, & G/L for use daily
- Collaborate with IT, Sales, Marketing, and other internal departments to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement as needed
- Analyze and resolve notices and monitor contractor performance, including ownership of the reporting and status
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in the field as well as with the products we sell.
- Deliver on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive results
- Other tasks aligned with points listed above
What you will bring
- 0-2 years professional experience (prior capital sales experience is preferred)
- BS/BA degree preferred but not required. Experience is key!
- Experience selling CNC equipment or 3D printers
- Experience with metalworking equipment ranging from CNC Press Brakes to CNC Lasers and other Fabrication Machinery
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check are required. Must be a US citizen to be considered for this role due to client requirements.
- NIST SP-800 171r2 experience
- CMMC 2.0 experience
- FAR regulation background and experience is required.
- GSA / MAS (Multiple Award Schedule) experience is required.
· Background in accounting, project management, and/or contract administration is preferred
