Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and shippers to secure transportation services for clients.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service.
- Coordinate and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage all aspects of the transportation process, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking shipments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during the transportation process.
- Stay current on industry trends and market conditions to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, rates, and carrier information.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker Agent or similar role in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, compliance, and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients.
- Proficient in using transportation management software and other related tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
