RTL Logistics, a freight brokerage in Dade City, FL, is looking to add motivated freight agents to our team. This is a 1099, commission-based position with high income potential. If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for logistics and a desire to excel in the freight brokerage industry, we want to hear from you!
Duties:
- Generate leads and build relationships with shippers and carriers (minimum of 50 calls per day)
- Dispatch shipments and coordinate logistics for timely delivery
- Negotiate pricing and terms with carriers to secure cost-effective transportation solutions
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations for the transportation of perishable goods
- Utilize EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems for efficient communication and data exchange
- Perform accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
- Logistics or sales experience preferred, but not required, as we will train the right applicant
