We are seeking a Freight Broker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with AS400, dispatching, pricing, FDA regulations, data entry, contracts, lead generation, and EDI.
Duties:
– Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and shippers
– Negotiate freight rates with carriers to achieve maximum profitability
– Monitor shipments from start to finish to ensure timely delivery
– Utilize AS400 and EDI systems to track shipments and maintain accurate records
– Generate leads for new business opportunities
– Ensure compliance with all FDA regulations
– Handle contract negotiations with carriers and shippers
Skills:
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
– Excellent problem-solving skills
– Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
– Knowledge of transportation industry regulations and requirements

Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight brokerage or related field
– Proficient in AS400 and EDI systems
