Freight Agent: FREIGHT FACTORING INC

Responsibilities:
– Manage and coordinate the transportation of freight shipments
– Negotiate pricing and contracts with carriers to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions
– Generate leads and identify new business opportunities in the transportation industry
– Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of shipments and transactions
– Ensure compliance with FDA regulations for the transportation of perishable goods
– Dispatch shipments and communicate with drivers to ensure timely delivery
– Utilize EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems for efficient communication with carriers and customers

Qualifications:
– Previous experience in transportation sales or freight brokerage is preferred
– Strong knowledge of AS400 system and other relevant software applications
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
– Knowledge of carrier sales and dispatching procedures
