Responsibilities:
– Coordinate and manage the transportation of freight for clients
– Plan and schedule shipments to ensure timely delivery
– Utilize transportation management systems to track and monitor shipments
– Negotiate rates with carriers to secure cost-effective transportation solutions
– Collaborate with customers to understand their shipping needs and provide exceptional customer service
– Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and documentation
– Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation process
– Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to transportation and logistics

Qualifications:
– Previous experience in transportation planning or freight management is preferred
– Familiarity with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems and transportation management systems
– Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
– Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from carriers
– Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
– Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
