Daily Tasks & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
· Responsible for prospecting, communication, quoting, developing, operating, and maintaining your customer accounts
· Build, maintain, and grow customer relationships through cold calls and consistent communication
- Use creative and persistent methods to prospect and generate new business opportunities
- Have a thorough understanding of all costing concepts and be able to price business profitably such that gross margins are clearly understood up front
Essential Skills, Characteristics, & Experience:
- Prior transportation sales and/or operations experience required
- Strong negotiation skills – persuasiveness, aggressiveness, confidence
- Efficient time management skills with the ability to recognize and prioritize profitable opportunities
