Looking for self-motivated individuals with a desire for growth working as a Transportation Broker. Provide both operations and sales functions for the company and outside clients in the 3rd Party Logistics Industry. Daily operational functions include truck dispatch, tracking and customer reporting. Agents can market domestic FTL, LTL, international and intermodal. Industry experience required with a preference for current customers to add to existing company freight. Though this job requires regular office reporting, it is not 8-5. Agent is expected to be available as attention is needed, often on nights and weekends.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Rate and Service negotiating
Manage pick-ups and deliveries
Account relationship development and management
Carrier sourcing and acquisition
Sales for current and new customers
Customer service relationships with internal representatives, carriers, warehouses, etc.
Effective, detailed communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong Work Ethic
Self-Motivated team player
Ability to thrive in fast-paced work environment
Excellent information processing skills for problem solving and decision making
Effective negotiation skills with a strong ability to handle conflict
MS Office proficiency a must
Ability to thrive in an office atmosphere as well as travel for sales
Secondary education preferred
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in 3rd Party Logistics industry
Working knowledge of DOT Regulations
Commission on new business

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
