BOC-3 Processing

To submit a BOC-3 request for a new filing, you will need to email us your Docket # provided by the FMCSA. Please send email to [email protected] with subject: BOC-3 Processing

Step #1

The first step in obtaining a new motor carrier authority is to complete the OP-1 application with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).  Once the OP-1 application is submitted to the FMCSA you are assigned a “Docket Number”, and after approval your application is published in the FMCSA Register.

GET A USDOT NUMBER
If you have not already done so, a USDOT Number may also be required.  The MCS-150 (Motor Carrier Identification Report) and the MCS-150A (Safety Certification Application) forms must be completed (no fee is required).  The forms can be found on the FMCSA Safety and Fitness Electronic Records (SAFER) System web site (click on “FMCSA Registration & Updates”), and can be downloaded or submitted on line.  Or you can contact the USDOT at 800-832-5660 for more information.

BOC-3 requests received prior to 1:00pm CST will be posted electronically to the FMCSA the same day. This information will be updated and available in your dashboard within 24 hours of posting. We also send you an email confirmation when your BOC-3 application is completed. If you have any questions you can call our customer support at 888-852-4238.
