Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the movement of goods by connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation solutions. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain management, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and carriers.

Duties

• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics operations.
• Coordinate transportation planning and dispatching activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly.
• Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth in logistics sales.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply chain processes.

Skills

• Strong background in transportation planning and logistics sales.
• Proficiency in dispatching and managing carrier relationships.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on contract management.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and transportation management practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach.
