– Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and shippers to secure freight for transportation
– Negotiate rates and pricing with carriers to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions
– Coordinate and manage the movement of freight from origin to destination
– Utilize transportation management systems to track and monitor shipments
– Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
– Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery
– Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to optimize freight operations
“`Qualifications:“`
– Previous experience in freight brokerage or transportation sales is preferred
– Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive rates with carriers
– Knowledge of supply chain logistics and transportation management systems
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers, carriers, and internal teams
– Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
– Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
– Proficient in using computer systems and software related to the industry
