Job Title: Freight Broker

Job Type: Full-time, Part-Time, Contract

Salary Range: $75,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year

Job Description:
We are seeking a professional Freight Broker with at least 5 years of experience to join our team. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for prospecting new customers, sourcing carriers and providers, booking shipments, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with carriers. You will also maintain relationships with customers and ensure that their freight is transported safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Prospect for new customers and build relationships with them • Source carriers and providers and negotiate rates • Book your customers’ shipments in our TMS and ensure timely delivery • Track the delivery of shipments and coordinate with carriers to resolve any issues • Maintain relationships with customers and ensure their satisfaction • Work independently and manage your own workload

Requirements:

• Own an active book of business • Expert in the full freight brokerage cycle with at least 5 years of experience • Work independently and manage your own workload • Strong negotiation and communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Must be located in Sacramento, CA or willing to relocate

Pay Structure:
This position is commission-based with no base salary. Commissions are paid at 60% of margin. There is also bonus pay available.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in freight brokerage.
