Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage freight shipments from origin to destination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
- Utilize supply chain management techniques to optimize logistics processes.
- Engage in lead generation activities to expand the client base and increase sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with transportation providers to negotiate rates and secure optimal shipping solutions.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions.
- Analyze market trends in logistics sales and transportation planning to identify growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong sales skills with a focus on account management and client relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
