Job Description: As a Freight Broker Agent, you will be responsible for developing and managing your own customer base. You will be required to prospect new customers, negotiate rates, coordinate shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and providing exceptional customer service to customers.
Responsibilities: • Develop and manage your own customer base • Prospect new customers and negotiate rates • Coordinate shipments with carriers and customers • Ensure timely delivery of goods • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers • Provide exceptional customer service • Manage multiple shipments simultaneously • Maintain accurate records of all transactions • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations
Requirements: •Established Book of Business •Minimum of 1 year of experience in freight brokerage or transportation industry •Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Ability to prospect new customers and build relationships • Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously • Strong organizational and time management skills • Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records • Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
