BCTA logo

BCTA: The British Columbia Trucking Association has been given a facelift in the form of a new association logo. Officials say the decision to create a new logo was spurred on it light of the BCTA’s 100th anniversary coming up in 2013, in an effort to reflect the changes the group has undergone in that span.

While the BCTA started as a small group of freight handlers in Vancouver talking about road, rate and governmental concerns, officials say the modern association has expanded not only its numbers, but also its issues of concern, including road safety, taxation, fuel efficiency and human resources.

“Our old logo has served us well, but it is time for a new look that reflects this broader scope and the expertise we have gained since our founding,” officials said in a release. “Our new colours are stronger and deeper, still suggesting the ocean, lakes and mountains that make B.C. unique in Canada.

“We’re proud of our roots…(a)nd even prouder to continue representing and advocating for the industry at the start of our next hundred years.”
